Since the company began, NSR has had an association with the UK’s agricultural show scene and in particular the South of England Show.  Many moons ago NSR supplied a permanent on site full voice alarm system for the South of England show site and since then have returned each year in June to supply additional temporary communications equipment for one of the best agricultural shows run in the UK today.

The Show features prize winning livestock and world class show-jumping and other equestrian events as well as demonstrations on food and farming, flower exhibits and arts and crafts.  To add to the event’s electrifying atmosphere each year the main arena features thrilling entertainment displays, which this year included the Flying Gunners and the Chariots of Fire Display Team.

Over the three days of the show NSR was responsible for supplying the timing equipment for the show-jumping, a full PA system for the main arena and other systems around the site, radio communication and a complement of 8 control units located strategically around the show site.  It was a terrific show and the NSR team are all looking forward to returning next year.

The following month in July NSR travelled north to the Driffield Show, the biggest one day show in the country run by the Driffield Agricultural Society, which took 2 days to rig including control units and a complete PA system for the main arena with additional systems including the cooking demonstration area and the horse box park. 

NSR were proud to win the contract to supply the Driffield Show earlier this year and will be back in 2010 and 2011 following a cracking first year when the Show had its highest ever attendance at 31,296.  Not bad at all!
